汉译英：汉语因汉族社会在发展过程中出现过程度不同的分化和统一而逐渐产生了方言(dialect)。现代汉语有各种不同的方言，他们分布的区域很广。现代汉语各方言之间的差异表现在语音、词汇、语法三个方面，语音方面尤为突出。但由于这些方言和共同语之间在语音上都有一定的对应规律，词汇、语法方面也有许多相同之处.因此它们不是独立的语言。当前语言学界对现代汉语方言划分的意见还未完全达成一致，大多数人认为现代汉语有七大方言。
